HealthOne NSW Information and Communication Technology

The capacity of clinicians across HealthOne NSW services to exchange client information and to have information systems that provide data to support a multidisciplinary team environment is critical to the effective operation of a HealthOne NSW service.

HealthOne NSW ICT Project

High level requirements for a system to support the HealthOne NSW model have been identified from a series of process mapping workshops involving clinicians from five HealthOne NSW sites in four Area Health Services.

Two key requirements are to:

  • define and implement the HealthOne NSW patient privacy and consent framework
  • to identify and provide assistive technology solutions that allow client information to be exchanged

The Department of Health is currently defining the patient privacy and consent framework and investigating assistive technology solutions to exchange client information.
