Swimming Pools and Spa Pools (Public)

The Public Health (Swimming Pools and Spa Pools) Regulation 2000 controls the public health risk associated with public swimming and spa pools. Following is a selection of materials which will assist in understanding public swimming pool and spa pool issues.

Below are eight tutorials in this series in PDF format. A PowerPoint format is available by contacting the Environnmental Health Branch on email (enhwu@doh.health.nsw.gov.au). The PowerPoint presentation should be viewed in Notes Pages view and is most suitable for self-tutoring. The material can also be presented in a group.

Each tutorial generally takes between 1/2 and 1 hour to complete (except "Essential Swimming Pool Chemistry" which takes longer and should be completed in topics). "Risk Assesment and Management" is in two parts consisting of a PowerPoint presentation and an accompanying Word document. The tutorials should be viewed in the following order.
