The Centre for Aboriginal Health engaged with representatives of the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector and the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW (AHMRC) to revise the key performance indicators in Aboriginal Health funding agreements from 2016/17.

The KPIs link to program funding for the areas of smoking, chronic disease prevention and management, immunisation, sexually transmissible infections and blood borne viruses, drug and alcohol and mental health.

The KPIs are consistent with preventative health guidelines and are aligned to current evidence. They support the delivery and monitoring of quality care and facilitate continuous quality improvement initiatives.
