NSW Health and Sponsorship

Health and Sponsorship

NSW Health is a large and complex system.  It comprises the NSW Ministry of Health and a group of public health organisations that include eight rural and metropolitan Area Health Services, the Ambulance Service of NSW, the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Justice Health and other affiliated health organisations.

The aim of NSW Health is to provide the people of NSW with the best possible health care that not only meets today’s health needs but also responds to the health needs of the future.

NSW Health employs over 85,000 staff across New South Wales.  The scope of work undertaken across the State ranges from acute hospital care to policy development, health promotion and community health initiatives.

Any sponsorship undertaken with NSW Health needs to be consistent with the Ministry of Health mission, goals and priorities. They are:

  • Healthier People
  • Fairer Access
  • Quality Health Care
  • Better Value

NSW Health’s values are fairness, respect, integrity, learning, creativity and effectiveness.

By sponsoring a NSW Health initiative your company would be associated with these priorities and values and would be linked with programs that are supported by the Government of NSW.

A sponsorship is a contribution in money or kind by a private individual, organisation or the corporate sector in support of a NSW Health service, facility, activity or event in return for some form of public acknowledgement. (Source ICAC).

Submissions by companies that are involved with the manufacture and production of tobacco and alcohol related products, or other products and services that could damage health, or conflict with the priorities of NSW Health will not be considered. Please refer to the NSW Health Sponsorship Guidelines for further information.
