Telehealth

A seeding grant received from the NSW Health Telehealth Initiative has enabled ADAHPT to establish and evaluate the use of Telehealth and HIV case management in rural areas using the interactive videoconferencing component of Telehealth.

ADAHPT will establish structured, ongoing, sessions with rural sexual health sites in the Greater Southern, North Coast and Hunter New England Area Health Services of New South Wales, Australia. The aim is to create regular contact between the client, their local case manager and the ADAHPT co-case manager aimed at improving HIV case management.

ADAHPT Telehealth Service Provision

Interactive videoconferencing will enable a range of case management services to be provided including:

  • Case conferences
  • Case management consultation
  • Client and staff education
  • Development and ongoing implementation of case management planning
  • Feedback from neuropsychological assessments
  • Case management meetings (non-clinical)
  • Peer support

Telehealth Services ADAHPT Can Not Provide

  • Direct case management
  • Crisis intervention
  • Neuropsychological assessments
  • Legal Hearings
  • Image Transfers
  • Transfer of output data from medical devices e.g. ECG's etc
