Major Projects on Exhibition

In 2005, the NSW Government passed a new part of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act), known as Part 3A.

The changes strengthen the environmental planning and assessment process and improves community consultation and transparency for major infrastructure projects in NSW. The reforms define that major projects will be determined by the Minister for Planning. This includes health facilities with a construction value of more than $15m. More information is available on the Department of Planning web site.

Under Part 3A it is a requirement that the environmental assessments of major projects be exhibited for a minimum of 30 days. NSW Health Projects currently on exhibition include:

Liverpool Hospital Redevelopment

Concept Application and Environmental Assessment

Liverpool Hospital Infrastructure and Ancillary Hospital Works
