DES sons

DES exposure can also affect men. Some DES sons (men whose mothers took DES while pregnant with them) can have genital problems, such as undescended or under- developed testicles, cysts on the back of the testes and lowered sperm count. If concerned, DES sons should be examined by a urologist and all men should do testicular self-examination regularly.
