Child Care Centres at Hospitals
The Centres featured in this site are employer sponsored
child care centres. They are operated by the Hospital and
Area Health Service where they are located, and are Departments
of that Hospital.
They were established to provide for flexible care for the
staff of the Health under previous staff recruitment strategies
in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The centres are open longer
hours, with some offering evening care to 11.30 p.m.
As arrangements are made with community child care centres
and other services to provide care for hospital staff, information
will be added to this site - so stay tuned.
