Vacation Care
The Vacation Care Programs featured in this site are employer
sponsored vacation care programs. They are operated by the
Area Health Service and are Departments of that Hospital
where they are located.
They were established to provide for flexible care for the
staff of NSW Health under the current staff recruitment strategies.
Vacation care is child care provided for school aged children
during school holidays, for at least 8 continuous hours on
each normal working day. Some of the Vacation Care Programs
featured on this site are situated within the hospital grounds,
while other Programs are situated close to the hospitals
in grounds of local public schools or colleges.
