What is AU RED?
AU RED is a web-based database developed by Infonetica to track and manage the progress of NEAF and SSA applications. It is also a helpful tool for HREC Executive Officers, as it generates standard letters, annual reports, agendas etc.
AU RED must be used for multi-centre research proposals. It may also be used for single-site research projects, at the discretion of the individual public health organisation.
Who has access to AU RED?
All NSW Health HREC Executive Officers and Research Governance Officers have access to AU RED, as do staff of the Health Research and Ethics Branch of NSW Department of Health. Researchers and sponsors cannot access AU RED, however they can track the progress of their application on the on-line forms website.
How do I get an AU RED account?
By sending an email request to: healthethics@doh.health.nsw.gov.au An account will be created for you and you will be provided with a secure login and password once you have signed a confidentiality agreement.
Do I have to install any new software to use AU RED?
No. AU RED is web-based. Provided you have access to the Internet, you can access AU RED using a secure login and password.
