This pamphlet was created to help members of the community to understand how to prevent and treat common burns that can occur around the home.
Accurately assessing the depth of an acute burn wound is one of the more difficult components of assessing a burn injury. The more accurate the assessment the more appropriate the initial treatment and referral decisions will be in the care of a burnt patient.
This poster was developed to be used as a visual aid and gives prompts on assessment techniques that help in more accurately assessing the depth of an acute burn wound.
