Network Structure
The work of the Gastroenterology Network is led by an Executive Committee, which is Co-Chaired by Brian Jones (Visiting Gastroenterologist) and Joanne Benhamu (Endoscopy Clinical Nurse Specialist).
The Executive Committee includes doctors, nurses, allied health and consumers and meets regularly throughout the year. A number of working groups have been established by the Network to review different areas of clinical concern and provide advice to NSW Health. The Network has over 200 members and includes 180 clinicians, 3 consumers and representatives from Area Health Services, the NSW Department of Health, Clinical Excellence Commission and the Cancer Institute NSW.
