Gynaecological Oncology Network Education
Patients across the state benefit from clinicians receiving specialised education. Regular study days are held for all members of multi-disciplinary teams. Nursing delegates from all Area Health Services attend the Annual Nurses Study Day.
There are also ad hoc forums open to all clinicians affiliated with Gynaecological Oncology. The 2006 Forum was presented in association with the Sydney Institute of Palliative Medicine. The highly successful joint Forum held with the Cancer Institute NSW was held on 17 October 2008 under the title "Meeting the Needs of Women with Ovarian Cancer". There is a DVD of 'patient' interviews and expert panel discussions.
