GMCT Gynaecological Oncology Network

Care of women with gynaecological cancer and their families is complex and requires the coordination of multiple modalities of therapy, integration of many tiers of health service and attention to the complex psychosocial demands resulting from these diagnoses.

The Greater Metropolitan Clinical Taskforce's (GMCT) Gynaecological Oncology (GO) Network involves clinicians and consumers from the broad range of gynaecological oncology services in NSW.

The Network was established in 2002 led by a Committee with broad representation.  The role of the GO Committee is to promote high quality gynaecological cancer care for women and to improve access to comprehensive gynaecological cancer services across NSW.

Over the years links have been developed with NSW Health, Cancer Institute NSW, Cancer Council NSW, Clinical Excellence Commission, Institute of Palliative Medicine, NSW Institute of Rural Clinical Services and Teaching, Cancer Voices, and the Lifeforce Cancer Foundation.
