Renal Services Network Publications
Health Facility Guidelines
The Renal Health Facility Guidelines were prepared in 2006 in consultation with the Renal Services Network. These provide a practical outline of the requirements for those contemplating building dialysis centres.
Water Standards Guidelines
A RSN working group has developed a document entitled: Dialysis Water Pre-Treatment for In-Centre and Satellite Haemodialysis Units in NSW: A Set of Guidelines. It is expected that this guide will be published on the NSW Health website, similar to the publication of the Health Facility Guidelines. In addition, work has commenced on the development of the companion guidelines, for non-facility-based Dialysis Water Pre-Treatment.
Transplant Nutrition Guidelines Project
The Transplant Working Group has overseen the development of Nutrition Guidelines for Transplant Patients. These will be available on DAA and CARI websites later in 2008.
Evidence statements and recommendations have been developed for a number of post-transplant nutrition issues, following rigorous review of the literature. For those sections of the guidelines where little or no evidence exists, the project developed consensus-based recommendations using in-depth consultation with Australian and New Zealand dietitians who specialise in renal transplant nutrition.

Treatment Options Brochure for Patients with Chronic Kidney Failure
Have been prepared and translated into Chinese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Greek and Italian.
These are printed in full colour with daigrams and are available from the Renal Resource Centre.
The English version of this brochure is proving very popular. It also matches the non-English brochures to assist clinicians and family to explain options to non-English speakers.
