Seating and wheeled mobility impact on a client's physical state, psychological status and everyday function in the environment. A thorough assessment is essential to ensure all aspects of needs are met and that the seating and wheeled mobility provided will do no harm.
A team approach toward assessment enables clients, carers, medical practitioners, clinicians and assistive technology practitioners (supplier/engineer/technician) to communicate and work towards common goals.
