Metropolitan paediatric units (MP4Kids)
MP4Kids is a clinical network representing all Level 4 paediatric units in general public hospitals, in metropolitan and outer metropolitan Sydney.
The MP4Kids network was formally established by its members in June 2011 and enjoys close collaboration and support from the NSW Chief Paediatrician and the Maternity, Child, Youth and Paediatrics Unit. The network is now a registered not-for-profit association. Membership is open to NSW Health staff employed in a Level 4 paediatric unit in a NSW public hospital. For further information on joining, please contact MP4Kids.
It is the goal and vision of the MP4Kids network to provide high-quality specialist paediatric care for infants, children, adolescents and their families as close to home as possible.
The MP4Kids network advocates for coordinated and equitable provision of children’s healthcare services across metropolitan Sydney. Included in this philosophy is access to care in adequately resourced Level 4 paediatric units as well as access to tertiary/quaternary paediatric services when required.
MP4Kids maintains its own network website using the Basecamp platform. For further information please contact MP4Kids.
The MP4Kids network hosts a biannual conference in June and December each year, and a biennial two day conference, at an MP4Kids site for members and partners.

The online platform has the ability for you to participate in online on forums with your paediatric colleagues, upload and discuss documents, connect you with upcoming paediatric education and seminars across NSW. For more information please contact Alistair Tegart.
