The Aboriginal population of Murrumbidgee LHD makes up just over 3 per cent of the total population. The population of Murrumbidgee LHD is projected to grow to 301,000 people from 2011 to 2021. This is a slow growth rate compared to the total population growth of NSW. Murrumbidgee LHD has continued to make significant achievements in improving health services, including developing strategic plans to build on the strengths of the organisation and further develop the capability and sustainability of the LHD. Murrumbidgee LHD continues to improve its health infrastructure, as well as engagement with the community.
