New Chief Executive for South Eastern Sydney Illawarra Area Health Service

The Director-General of Health, Professor Debora Picone today announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive of the South Eastern Sydney Illawarra Area Health Service (SESIAHS).

Professor Picone said the new Chief Executive, Mr Terry Clout would take up the position by the end of September.

"I wish to congratulate Terry on his appointment and know that his experience in the NSW health system and his ability as a senior manager will be invaluable in his new role," Professor Picone said.

"Terry is currently the Acting Chief Executive of Northern Sydney Central Coast Area Health Service. He has extensive experience in health administration serving previously as at the Chief Executive Officer of the former Mid North Coast Area Health Service and as Chief Executive of Hunter New England Area Health Service since its formation in January 2005."

The Director General said Mr Clout previously worked in the Illawarra in the roles of Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of Health Services Operations for the former Illawarra Area Health Service. He also acted as Chief Executive Officer of the Illawarra Health Service.

Mr Clout is to be succeeded in his current position by Matthew Daly who has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Northern Sydney Central Coast Area Health Service.
