Information for overseas students
With Australia’s great lifestyle, wonderful weather and choice of universities and educational facilities, studying to become a nurse or midwife in Australia has much to offer students from overseas.
People from outside Australia wishing to enrol in a nursing or midwifery course can apply directly to the university.
Those people who are not a permanent resident of Australia must hold a visa for the duration of the nursing or midwifery course. Further information about applying for an Australian visa can be found at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. The employment opportunities for overseas students are limited under the conditions of a student visa. Overseas students are not eligible for nursing scholarships and are responsible for all fees.
