Judith Meppem Scholarships 1 December 2014 1 April 2015 Provides an opportunity for nurses and midwives to undertake a study tour to observe and learn about innovative and best practice in nursing and or midwifery. The Judith Meppem Scholarships are valued up to AUD12,000 each.
Innovation Scholarships 1 December 2014 1 April 2015 Awarded to nurses and midwives across the state to implement models of care and new approaches that will drive improvements in areas of the health system and improve patient care.

Provided to assist students with travel and accommodation costs directly associated with clinical placements done in a public health facility for students undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery.
Rural Undergraduate Scholarships 1 September 2015 20 November 2015 Awarded to students from a rural location undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery degree.
Postgraduate Scholarships 1 December 2014 2 March 2015 Available to permanent full-time or part-time registered nurses or registered midwives employed and currently working in the NSW public health system, to assist with educational expenses directly associated with postgraduate study.
2015 Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled Nurse) Scholarships
8 December 2014 4 February 2014 NSW Health, in partnership with TAFE NSW, is offering scholarships for the Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled Nursing) program. This program is provided by TAFE NSW in a range of locations and by the NSW Health Registered Training Organisation (RTO).​

Undergraduate Scholarships 1 November 2015

Scholarships of up to $1,000 per subject are available for Aboriginal students undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery.

Available for Aboriginal enrolled nurses who undertake a VETAB accredited course. Open year round.​

Rhodanthe Lipsett
Midwifery Postgraduate Scholarship

1 November 2015 19 February 2016

NSW Health and the Aboriginal Nursing and Midwifery Strategy is pleased to announce a partnership with the Rhodanthe Lipsett Indigenous Midwifery Trust, sharing the common goal to increase the number and support the retention of Aboriginal midwives in NSW.  One scholarship of $15,000 will awarded each year to an Aboriginal midwife employed in NSW Health to undertake post graduate studies to further develop the skills most relevant to their midwifery area of practice. This scholarship also includes full registration to the next annual Congress of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Nurses & Midwives (CATSINaM) conference.

Re-entry to Nursing Scholarships

Re-entry to Nursing Scholarships are a NSW Government initiative to help previously registered or enrolled nurses re-enter the NSW public health system when they undertake a fee-paying re-entry to nursing program approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). Up to $10,000 will be awarded for each scholarship.
