Summary
A Regulation entitled Health Records and Information Privacy Amendment (Accredited Chaplains) Regulation 2008 has been made under the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 to clarify the situation in relation to the provision and use of information for NSW Health chaplaincy services, and to provide a sound legal basis for information sharing with chaplaincy services in the NSW Health system. This Information Bulletin provides guidance to NSW Health accredited chaplains and NSW Health staff as to the operation of the Regulation. This Information Bulletin will become effective on the date of commencement of the Regulation which is 1 October 2008.
