Summary
The new Area Health Services are required to develop an Area Healthcare Services Plan (AHSP) as part of new requirements following amalgamation.
The AHSP is intended to be a strategic document which outlines the medium term priorities for the Area Health Service with reference to those factors which affect the health of the population and the delivery of health services. The NSW Health Guide for the Development of Area Healthcare Services Plan provides the detail of the content required in these Plans.
