Summary
Public health organisations are required to have local protocols for the acute management of seizures in children and are responsible for ensuring that all staff treating paediatric patients are educated in the use of the locally developed guidelines and protocols. This document provides the basic clinical practice guidelines for the treatment of infants and children with seizures that are to be used in the development of local protocols.
