Summary
The purpose of this policy is to ensure clinicians utilise "The Initial Management of Closed Head Injury in Adults" clinical practice guidelines to assist in informed medical decision making. The guidelines are intended for use by clinicians managing patients with closed head injuries in major trauma services, regional, urban and rural hospitals. The Initial Management of Closed Head Injury Guidelines are concerned with the initial care of the mild, moderate and severely head injured patient.
