Summary
This policy directive sets out the requirements that must be met for a Human Research Ethics Committee to undertake ethical review of research proposals for individuals or organisations external to the public health system. It contains a pro forma agreement between a public health organisation and an external entity, setting out the terms and conditions upon which such ethical review may be conducted. It also sets out the requirements that must be met for external entities seeking to use the ethical review of a lead HREC.
