Summary
The NSW Government has approved fee waivers for specified public health services to community based asylum seekers who are Medicare ineligible. The policy provides NSW Health facilities and staff with guidance in implementing the decision, including the identification of Medicare ineligible asylum seekers and description of the public health services to which the waiver applies. It should be read in conjunction with PD2005_528 and IB2009_031.
