Summary
The SAFE START Strategic Policy provides direction for the provision of coordinated and planned mental health responses to primary health workers involved in the identification of families at risk of, or with, mental health problems, during the critical perinatal period. It outlines the core structure and components required by NSW Mental Health services to develop and implement the SAFE START model.
