Charter for Mental Health Care in NSW


Centre for Mental Health

The Centre for Mental Health is responsible for developing, managing and coordinating NSW Health Department policy in relation to mental health services. This includes developing, implementing and monitoring strategies for transition to the mental health service development agreed under the National Mental Health Strategy and the Australian Health Care Agreements.

The Centre is also responsible for developing and maintaining the regulatory framework for the delivery and monitoring of mental health services under the Mental Health Act 2007 and related legislation affecting clients of mental health services.
