Data management—Mental Health Bed Management System (MH-BMS)The Mental Health Bed Management System (MH-BMS) is a web-based bed management surveillance system that provides real-time information on bed availability in all acute mental health inpatient units across the NSW. The Program aims to improve mental health bed management. The timely bed availability information provided by MH-BMS helps each acute mental health service unit to identify possible alternatives to accommodate patients when all its beds are full. The data captured by MH-BMS is important for service delivery and planning. MH-BMS is password protected—only authorised staff have access. |
