Community and Government Relations Unit

The Community and Government Relations Unit manages policies and projects that link clinicians, community and government for a healthy NSW. The unit is responsible for policy and managing programs/projects in the following areas:

  • Community engagement and participation
  • Hearing services
  • Non-government organisations

The unit supports executive participation in Human Services and Justice CEOs meeting, Forum of Non-Government Organisations (FoNGA) and facilitates NSW Health's structures for community engagement in the following ways:

  • Hearing loss and your baby: the next step

Clinician and Community Engagement Structures

  • NSW Health Care Advisory Council (HCAC)
  • NSW Ministerial Standing Committee on Hearing
  • NSW GP Council

Projects/Programs

  • Statewide Infant Screening Hearing (SWISH) program
