Private individuals can apply to access psychiatric medical
records that are held as State archives when:
- Conducting family history research
- Seeking family related medical history
The assessment criteria and proforma letters are located

to Access" page.Professional researchers or individuals
conducting professional research cannot apply under this
criteria. To seek information on how to apply for professional
