NSW Centre for Public Health Nutrition

The NSW Centre for Public Health Nutrition (CPHN) is a small team of health professionals with expertise in population nutrition research. The CPHN has been established in collaboration with the Sydney University Nutrition Research Foundation.

The purpose of the Centre is to assist the public health workforce in NSW to utilise research evidence, creativity and principles of good management to plan, implement and evaluate better population nutrition policies and programs. A major role of the Centre is to review research findings regarding nutrition and produce authoritative documents and guidelines that will steer nutrition interventions in NSW.

The Centre has four main streams of work:

  • Evidence based planning
  • Public health workforce development
  • Applied research and evaluation
  • Food and nutrition monitoring

For more information, see the Centre for Public Health Nutrition website.
