Sources of Research Funding
Links are provided to various national groups that offer funding or information
on funding for health-related research.
NSW Cancer Council
The NSW Cancer Council is the biggest independent funder of cancer research
in New South Wales. Every year it funds research grants for research at
NSW universities, hospitals and institutes.
Community Builders NSW
This New South Wales site offers information on funding for various community
groups.
GrantsLINK
Grantslink is the entry page into the community grants for the Commonwealth
Government.
GrantSearch
Grantsearch offers over 18,000 grant opportunities and is the most comprehensive
of any grants database in Australia. This group also produces "The
Australia Grants Register". The 2003/4 edition lists 2,300 grants
as well as a guide to preparing a grant application.
Our Community
Easy Grants offers access to a newsletter and their database for an annual
fee and provides information on Federal and State Government, philanthropic
and corporate grants funding.
National Health and Medical Research Council
The National Health and Medical Research Council offers research grants
in a number of health areas.
National Heart Foundation
of Australia
A number of grants are available through the National Heart Foundation
of Australia. The National Heart Foundation funds various areas of cardiovascular
disease research such as cause, diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
