Sun protection
Publications
The Strategic
Plan encourages those working in sun protection to form partnerships with
organisations and community groups to support the creation of environments
which reduce exposure to solar ultraviolet radiation (UVR). These partnerships
could be formed in a number of settings including childcare, schools,
outdoor sport and recreation and local government.

The following guides to implementing best practice are joint publications of NSW Health and The Cancer Council NSW. They are available from the Cancer Council NSW. Each guide contains a checklist to ensure sun protection is actively practiced in each setting, and details of further resources which are available from the Cancer Council. Settings include childcare centres, primary schools, secondary schools, local councils, workplaces and recreation/sport areas.
