NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy Evaluation
The NSW Healthy School Strategy is a pioneering population health nutrition initiative and a key component of the Strategy, Prevention of Obesity in Children and Young People: NSW Government Action Plan 2003-2007 . Therefore, a comprehensive evaluation of the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy is being conducted. Preliminary components of the evaluation were completed in 2004. Further components of the evaluation will be completed in 2005 and 2006. The evaluation reports that have been published to date can be found below.Canteen Manager Survey Report
This report presents the results of the Canteen Manager/Supervisor Survey that was completed as an additional component of the Statewide NSW Schools Physical Activity and Nutrition Survey (SPANS) that was conducted in a random sample of 90 Schools in April-May 2004, by the NSW Centre for Overweight and Obesity (COO). The Canteen Manager Survey is one of the preliminary components of the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy Evaluation.
