Influenza

Influenza

While most people with influenza recover after a few days, in some it can be life-threatening. To avoid influenza, have an annual influenza vaccination. If you have influenza, cover your coughs and sneezes, wash your hands before touching others, and stay at home.

Notification

Influenza is a laboratory notifiable disease in NSW and must be reported to the local Public Health Unit (PHU) as soon as possible after diagnosis.

Select your local PHU  to obtain the correct notification form and notify your local PHU.
