This report on mothers and babies in NSW combines the annual reports of the NSW Midwives Data Collection and the NSW Birth Defects Register. Information on maternal deaths in NSW is also included.

The report includes a full chapter on recent trends, and separate chapters covering the Health Area of mother's residence, Aboriginal mothers and babies, mother's country or region of birth, birth defects and individual hospitals.
