Palliative Care Framework

Summary

The NSW Department of Health recognises the importance of providing services that are appropriate to the needs of local populations and that maximise the quality of life of individuals. Palliative care is a relatively new speciality area in health services that has grown in response to the complex range of needs of people with progressive advanced disease or terminal illness. The Palliative Care Framework is a guide for the provision of palliative care in NSW.
