NSW Mothers and Babies 2002

Summary

This report on mothers and babies in NSW combines the annual reports of the NSW Midwives Data Collection, the Neonatal Intensive Care Units' Data Collection, and the NSW Birth Defects Register. It contains information on maternal and neonatal deaths reviewed by the NSW Maternal and Perinatal Committee.

The report includes a full chapter on recent trends, and separate chapters covering Health Area of mother's residence, Aboriginal mothers and babies, mother's country or region of birth, birth defects, individual hospitals, and repeat obstetric interventions among multiparous women giving birth in 2001.
