NSW Trauma Minimum Data Set 2003 Annual Report

Summary

This report (the TMDS) illustrates the trauma profile of serious to critically injured patients admitted to trauma centres in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan region during 2003. The criteria for inclusion in the TMDS includes patients admitted to hospital who have an Injury Severity Score (ISS) greater than 15, reflecting a serious injury. The data fields in the TMDS are collectable and show injury patterns, trauma system function, and outcomes.
