NSW Trauma Minimum Data Set 2002 Annual Report
SummaryThis report (the TMDS) illustrates the trauma profile of serious to critically injured patients admitted to trauma centres in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan region for the calender year 2002. The criteria for inclusion in the TMDS report identifies all patients admitted to hospital who have a physical injury with an Injury Severity Score (ISS)>15. An ISS of greater than 15 reflects serious injury. The data fields included in the TMDS are collectable and relevant showing injury patterns, trauma system function and outcomes.
