Report on breastfeeding in NSW 2004

Summary

This report documents the extent to which breastfeeding practices among the NSW population and important sub-groups are consistent with national policy recommendations.

Errata: This report was revised in December 2004. The data in this report for the indicators relating to infants receiving solid foods before 4 months and before 6 months, reported instead the proportion of infants receiving solid foods before 5 months and before 7 months. Amended Tables 4.4.1 and 4.4.2 with the correct data for before 4 months and before 6 months are shown on page 19, along with the amended paragraphs in the Executive Summary (page xi). A number of other minor revisions have been made to the text and tables on pages: xi, 16, 19-22, 24, 28.
