Summary 
Almost 5500 students aged 5 to 16 years were surveyed in 2004 as part of the NSW Schools Physical Activity and Nutrition Survey (SPANS).
This is the full technical report (mainly for academics and researchers), which provides detailed information on the study design and results of the survey including: current data and trends on the prevalence of overweight and obesity, levels of physical activity, modes of travel to and from school, fundamental movement skills, sedentary behaviours, food habits and eating patterns, fitness levels, and markers for chronic disease.
