The Detection and Management of Pre-diabetes in General Practice: A study of current practices, capacity and feasibility

Summary

The report entitled, The Detection and Management of Pre- Diabetes in General Practice: A study of current practices, capacity and feasibility was commissioned to determine the current practices, capacity and feasibility of screening for and managing pre-diabetes in an urban Australian general practice setting in order to prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes.

This project was commissioned by NSW Health, managed by the SAX Institute and completed by the University of NSW. A subsequent study, Detection and Management of Pre-diabetes in Rural and Remote General
Practice: A study of current practices, capacity and feasibility, to assess the feasibility of screening for and managing pre-diabetes in rural and remote Australian general practice was completed by the Northern Rivers University Department of Rural Health and the Broken Hill University Department of Rural Health.
