Aboriginal Information and Support Needs Assessment for Families and Carers
SummaryThis report summarises the findings of focus research conducted into the information and support needs of families and carers of Aboriginal people with drug and alcohol issues. The aim was to better understand the particular problems and issues families and carers of Aboriginal people faced and how well these were being addressed by current programs, resources and support networks. One major finding was that all families and carers require information and support to be delivered in ways and formats that assist in supporting kinship ties in Aboriginal communities.
