SummaryDomestic violence is a significant public health issue, affecting the physical, psycological and social health of women and children. Routine screening of women for domestic violence is prevention and early intervention strategy that forms part of the assessment of women clients in antenatal, early childhood health, alcohol and other drugs and mental health services. This report documents two one month snapshots of routine screening in November 2005 and November 2006. It repeats the snapshots of the same month in 2003 and 2004. The report provides valuable information for NSW Health regarding the level and outcomes of screening.
