NSW Immunisation Strategy 2008-2011

Summary

The NSW Immunisation Stratergy 2008 - 2011 should be used in conjunction with relevant NSW Health Policy Directives pertaining to immunisation and vaccine preventable diseases and recommended vaccination guidelines, protocols and procedures as outlined in the current edition of The Australian Immunisation Handbook.
The purpose of the strategy is to provide direction and support for the implementation of immunisation activities within NSW with respect to increasing immunisation uptake and reducing the incidence of vaccine preventable diseases; articulating and emphasising the priorities for the immunisation program in NSW 2008 - 2011; and outlining specific initiatives and activities to address challenges facing the program over the coming years.
