Improving Aboriginal Participation in the MERIT program
Summary
Report of a review of Aboriginal participation in the MERIT program and recommendations on how to improve and increase Aboriginal participation and completion rates. The review included and intervention at 7 Merit sites, based on factors identified as contributing to increased Aboriginal completion rates. As a result of the intervention, 73% of Aboriginal clients completed the program, compared with 59% who completed at non-intervention sites.
