Reducing healthcare associated infections in NSW
Download the HAI program
Prevention of healthcare associated infections (HAIs) and multi-resistant
organism (MRO) colonisations is one of the key patient quality and safety
initiatives for NSW Health.
Every patient has the right to receive appropriate health care and leave
hospital without an HAI or MRO colonisation. The goal is to prevent every
patient from acquiring an HAI or MRO colonisation during all stages of
their care and treatment.
